I've been wanting to setup an intranet recently to keep my family (girlfriend + dog) on the same page. My first thought was to setup Drupal on my local webserver (MAMP) and go from there. A few weeks go by and tonight I remember that iCal has some synchronization features that might be handy. So this here is a simple guide to setting up iCal sharing over a LAN.

Not long ago I began having some trouble with my windows XP installation. It'd been about 6 months since I received my Dell XPS machine with XP media center pre-installed on it. As is normal with windows installs and the way I use my computer 6 months is the usual time frame it takes for the system to become cluttered, slow and in this case.. dead.
